I know that many teachers feel that each year comes with its ups and downs, but this year seemed exceptionally challenging and also extremely rewarding all at the same time. There is a lot of stress placed upon education and teachers it seems, and this book truly reinvigorated me on so many levels! It truly lives up to the name of "new understanding of happiness and well-being". While reading this book, I found things that I could do both in my personal and professional life... starting with keeping a perspective of gratitude in all that I do.
It was a super fast read, and I highly recommend! It gave me a new perspective and appreciation of life, education and interacting with others. Here's the link to Flourish on Amazon.com if you want to purchase it, but I also think it would be available at most libraries. I would love to hear what you think!
Also, it is well worth your while to spend some time on Dr. Seligman's website: http://www.authentichappiness.sas.upenn.edu/Default.aspx
